Hello N. G. Dear friends, Can anyone assist with more details of the chef of the Coconut Resort Samoa Mika? It would be great if you can let us now if he will be alwright or if there is anything we can do from so far away except pray?!?
Kindes regards Paul, We met you and your family at Coconuts in June – we were there with our two kids on our way home from a 6 month trip to New Zealand – and our kids played together at the beach. I just wanted to see if you had any information about the resort and, more importantly, whether Albert and all the staff were safe. I am sure you are inundated with emails right now, but if you get a chance, we were very worried when we heard that the South coast was hard hit - so any information would be much appreciated. Most of the coverage we have seen has been about American Samoa. Hope you and your family are well. Hello, I am sick with worry about Coconuts knowing that the very first word I heard was that area at the end of Cross Island Road took a direct hit. We have been to the fia fia there twice and were planning to stay in a beach fale in late November when we come for our son’s graduation from school their during Thanksgiving week. I was having an email dialogue about arrangements with “Jessie” from Coconuts and am worried sick about the staff, people from the village who are in the fia fia and the wait staff all of whom were the same during our two visits...I am thinking about the boys riding horses along that road and the school children walking, walking along the road at that time of day. I am even sad about the wild dogs. I am not so worried about our plans as I am about Coconuts being restored as livihood and for the very special place in the world that it is. Yes, I have seen the news report of the ruined Coconuts sign and a wrecked beach. please keep us informed and wish the owners our very best. I hope they and their staff are OK. M.
All I can say, is that my stays at Coconuts have always been nothing but “heaven on earth” Please know that you and all of Samoa are in my prayers and every thinking moment.
